I have created a website using notepad (htm file) but cannot work out how to turn off website visitors from being able to view the source code.
Could someone please let me know what the code is to turn this off so that others cannot access the source code.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Mabeline.

If you search the forums, you will see that there are several discussions about this and that there is no way to disable the viewing of the source code. If it is on the web, anyone can get it.
Hope this helps.

yea,
most of the script revolves around disabling the right click...
other encrypt the HTML and etc (more complicated)
so ya, you may want to try it out.
Both of which have ample negative effects that by far mitigate what dubious 'benefits' they may convey, and are easily surmountable.
The question of why you would want to do this springs to mind. Perhaps, if your motivation is reasonable, there might be a saner method of accomplishing your goal.
