Help with slideshow script please.

3) Describe problem: Does this script REQUIRE the images to be .gif?
I have linked .jpg from my server and it's not working at all in a test mode.
Also, is there a limit to how many slides you can have..
Finally, is there a way to set the speed in play?

I just want a simple slideshow that I can label the slides. If you know of any others on dd, please link me.
