1) Script Title: Animated Collapsible DIV v2.01

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/animatedcollapse.htm

3) Describe problem: I'm having issues with the script on a page I'm making. Whenever I select a new div from the menu the old one slides out over the bottom image on the page and this causes tearing, or jerking in Firefox 2/3 and IE7. IE6 and Safari are the only ones that don't seem to have any problems from a couple computers I've tested it on.

The tearing is one problem, but if I could actually get the script to only have the divs slide down and up from the top menu I don't think I would have a problem with any browser and it would look better too. Is it possible to make any div that is open, close (slide up) when a new div is selected? The sequence would be (first div is open, slides down from top)(new menu item is clicked)(first div slides up or closes)(newly clicked menu item now opens, slides down.)

Is that possible with this script? Thanks for any help!

I see the problem, though can't tell based on some testing why it's doing this. It certainly has something to do with the layout of your page, however.

One suggestion I have is to replace Animated Collapsible DIV with Featured Content Glider (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/featuredcontentglider.htm) instead. The later doesn't actually collapse any content, just overlays one on top of the other. This should take care of the rendering issue you're having.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tomorrow and see if it solves the problem. This was tossed together in quite a rush so the page isn't exactly laid out the best. It is funny how IE6 seems to render it the best, probably because it is ignoring some other functionality. :)
