Hi, I am endeavouring to build a website for a Junior football team and I wonder if this type of header would enhance what I have done at all?
http://www.shipleyjuniors.co.uk/
I like the header here and its gradient [?] colours.
How would I achieve this please? Also how would I overlap my logo as on the shipley site?
This is the web I have built so far. The logo has to be changed as I had no other graphic to use at present. http://www.shottle.plus.com/colts/
Thanks,

PhotoShop or GIMP will work. the shipley site just uses a solid black banner, the soccer ball on the right is multiple images of the same thing, over lapped and the opacity(transparency) reduced accordingly to give the "fade" effect.
So if you over lapped 5 images, the top one would have opacity set to 100%, below it 90% below that 60%, etc to about 5 or 10% for the last one...

Thank you Blizzard,
I am sorry I gave the incorrect link. http://www.brettonjfc.com/aboutus/
How would I get this type of header please? I wish to have the white/grey with the blue beneath.
Thanks and sorry to be daft! ;-))

That one is a little more tricky.. all it is is a 5px (give or take) wide image, and however tall you need it. Again PH or GIMP will make this image, select colors wanted, gradients, etc and save image, upload then use CSS to repeat-x as background image.
the image used on the site linked to is right here (http://www.brettonjfc.com/images/headerbg.gif) so you can see what I mean about how it looks.

Yes, I hadn't done anything like before but thanks very much for showing me how.
I will try this out and see whether or not it is suitable. Cheers and once again Thanks BLiZZaRD

If you need help creating the image itself, or the CSS to display it properly, just post back here or email me (email through my profile) and I can knock it out for you :D
all it is is a 5px (give or take)Preferably, take four pixels. :)

Preferably, take four pixels. :)
Exact diminsions, 4px X 450 px, but all of that isn't needed for the OP here :D So I will take 1 px and leave the 4 :p
