Strange, strange issue

I have purchased a template from a reputable seller of same. I test both in explorer and firefox. Here are the issues:
1. In a js file, I substitute a .gif for a .jpg file; it displays in firefox, not in explorer.
2. I copy one template (page), giving it another name. When executing a js menu script, firefox will load the new page, explorer will not.
3. Looking at the properties of the files, I see the message "might have come from another computer, would you like to unblock". I did that, then explorer will not display the page, but firefox does.

Absolutely frustrated, any one have ideas?

Do you have a link to your page?
If you haven't yet put it online, try doing so. It might be some sort of security error that's local to your computer. Putting it online might cure the problem all together.

it is a development site, so not a host as yet.....will try your suggestion on another site using a different folder....Thanks....do you have any idea what the security issue could be?
