I use WAMP on my Windows machine. MAMP on my Mac.
Prefer? WAMP over XAMPP, for sure. As for between WAMP and MAMP, couldn't say.

I use XAMPP for any PHP testing and don't have any idea about the others..

I use WAMP too. I like it. Used XAMPP too, but i don't know why, I like WAMP more than XAMPP

Uhm, I just use Apache. I don't see the point of all these fancy installer packages, it's only a single command to set up Apache under Linux or BSD (and if you run a server on Windows you deserve what you get :rolleyes:).

I'll tell you why I didn't install the Apache server: my computer can't download it - for some odd reason.

I have no idea. I tried to get onto Source Forge.com and download it, but when the download window opened, it closed immediately and then an alert box popped up saying that Windows could not download the file. Dunno why.

Hm, try from mirrors. I have problems to download from once (not from mirrors). After selecting mirror it downloads normally :)
