I want to create a flash site a a portfolio site, and I want poeple to find it. I heard some buzz about flash sites having searchable content inside the swfs? is that true? Otherwise I would make use of the meta tags in the html file that plays the swf. which is what most poeple do.

Any other tips about getting alot of attention with a site? or -what NOT to do.

Yes, it's true. Adobe has made available a version of the Flash player that search engines can use to index SWF content. Read more about it on Lee Brimelow's (Flash platform evangelist for Adobe) Blog (http://theflashblog.com/?p=407).

As Lee mentions, the technology is fairly new so no "best practices" have yet developed. With that said, here (http://www.hochmanconsultants.com/articles/seo-friendly-flash.shtml) are some basics that you can follow.
