How do I put a cookie on my site to keep track of user info?
This always helps me with cookies:

Or use cookiemonster :p. Sorry about that.

I usually try to use my mouth to eat cookies. I'm not sure about he rest of everyone else, but that's just how I do it. lol
I see more jokes than real help has been offered and I like to set the records straight this time.

Google analytics also has some tracking code you can place on your site to check traffic

I just moved this to other because it has almost nothing to do with HTML (where I originally found it). Javascript cookies are OK for some things, but depending upon what you mean by 'track users', server side methods may be much better. I don't know anything about Google analytics, but I would suspect that it is a hybrid - probably activated by javascript on your site and tracked server side on the Google server. If you need that kind of functionality or more, it would be preferable to have it all server side on your host. Ask your host what they have available.
