To make the drop-down menu gradually open (slow and steady) like on this script Switch Menu 2 (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/switchmenu2.htm) (maybe slower)

I suggest either using the Switch Menu 2 like you said, and changing the delay. Or using one of these:

OK. I'm going to check whether it is possible to change the plain text link in the drop-down menu of 'SM2' and 'AccM' to an image link or not.
