htaccess help please

Hello DD

I've carefully read the instructions on htaccess and htpasswd

it is not working for me...

the path to the htpasswd is correct and so on...still it is not letting me in

I've also tried your example link:

http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/password/example/

(Username: user Password: test)

still not letting me in !


I thought maybe it's my Internet Explorer causing this...I've tried Opera, still not letting me in...

can anyone suggest a solution please

After reading this, I tried to log into a couple of websites that I know did work at least yesterday (one of which is an Exchange Mail Server that we use at work) and none of them worked for me. I'm wondering if this is some due to some kind of update or something like that. I'm not sure what the cause or any type of solution, but I will let you know if I find anything out.

Can anyone please verify that htaccess password generator is working properly...

It doesn't seem to be working for me. The password generated is not allowing me into the secured files...
