Height problem (The usual tricks arent working!)

I have the same problem as many, my container div wont stretch to 100%.

I have tried everything I have seen on the net and in other forums so no one can say I havent done my homework but on this occasion the usual tricks arent working.

What I'd suggest is giving the footer an absolute position, and give it: bottom: 0px;
