I have a marquee running on my forums, the marquee has images and text, the images are flags of the world, and the text a welcome in various languages.
The marquee works perfectly, but i'd like to ask, Is it possible to have the first image start at the very end of the text after the last image.

i.e. a constant scroll without a pause in between.

url's edited for my own purpose, but otherwise everything is as it is on my forums.

Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, the marquee tag is very limited. It has the most options in the more recent versions of IE. In other browsers and earlier IE the support is limited to non-existent.

What it sounds like you are looking for is a continuous content marquee, something like:

http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/side/marqueeh.htm

where javascript is employed to overcome the limits mentioned. This is no longer a marquee tag at all, rather a marquee script.

However, when i placed my script within that script, nothing is displayed at all.

Could you offer me any pointers?

You need to escape single quotes (') in the marqueecontent variable with down slashes (\), ex:

Hello and welcome to the o35\'s gaming community.

And it must be all one long continuous line.

I don't have your images, and some of the non-English characters were not preserved when I copied your message from your post, and even if they were, the host I am using probably wouldn't serve them properly anyway. But if you ignore all that, this is a good demo of this script with your message:

looks good, but, after adding the \ symbol to the single quotes, and making sure the full code goes to the same place i have the marquee running on my forums, it simply doesnt show.
This is doing my head in big style lol.
I really do appreciate the work youve put in on this, but i think there is something ive missed.

I had to modify the script a bit to get the full across the top look I see you are going for. But just taking care of the basics like I mentioned before, got it working.

Use your browser's 'view source' and copy the entire script.
