View Full Version : Marquee II causing Flash animations to "freak out" in Firefox

Script: Cross Browser Marquee II

Hey guys,

I've been using Marquee II for a year or so and it's fantastic!

I recently removed several tables and moved almost wholely to CSS Positioning. All is well, except for the fact that the flash movies that live on the same page as the Marquee "freak out" by flickering quite violently. If you remove the Marquee or hover over it to stop it, the flickering stops.

This only occurs in Firefox and only began when I moved to CSS Positioning - even though the visual layout is exactly the same.

I've tried a number of things to try and fix it, all with no avail.

Have you come across this before and is there an easy fix?

I'd really appreciate any help, I'm nearly tearing my hair out!! :)

Thanks in advance!

Weird - I had a couple of <br> in between the flash animations - removing them fixes it up in Firefox.

At least these companies keep our lives insteresting... :)
