Flying Monkeys

Okay. I live in Sunny/Rainy Florida but for the second week and third week of August, I'll be on the dumbest...um I mean fun-est road trip of my young life.
I live near Tampa, Florida. I've been on a few road trips to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area a few times, twice to atlanta, and once around north carolina (drove around the whole state).
I love traveling and road trips but this one I'm going by myself. Someone suggested that I should take a train instead of driving my car. I might do that but looking for advice. Flying is not wise because of new larger fees and I'm under 25, so the package deal I could've had is not possible because I'm a young'n.
Either way. I'm looking to mainly see Colorado for all it's beauty and visit Seattle, Washington for SEOmoz's advanced SEO techniques seminar.
I plan to move to Colorado, if I enjoy it. Has anyone been before? Can someone give me some good suggestions of places to visit or even road trip tips?
Colorado is everything that florida isn't. And for that, I'll probably love the state even if no one replies :)
Has anyone been to Seattle, what would be some good places to visit? (Briefly, a day or two; I'd rather hear about Colorado)
I'm kind of looking for advice/suggestions. Choo Choo
