This drives me totally insane.
All times are based around GMT Time. But whay can't it be based around your computer's time? It is not like DYNAMIC DRIVE "Welcome to Dynamic Drive, the #1 place on the net to obtain free, original DHTML & Javascripts to enhance your web site!" can't come up with a javascript that displays the time of the post in your time zone. Is it really that hard? I know, all I have to do is log in and it changes all the times, but they would not have to even do this if it automatically changes it for you. THIS IS NOT A RANT, BUT A SUGGESTION.
Thanks,

First, this is a professional forum package, not something created by Dynamic Drive. Additionally, modifying it is both very difficult and could possibly invalidate the warranty for support.
Secondly, and more importantly, it's an individual user setting as to which time you'd like to use. GMT is as good a time as any for a default, and makes sense-- it's "+0", so people know what the offset is. Simply go into your User CP, choose "Edit Options" from the menu and choose your time zone.
I set mine quite a while ago and have never had any problems. I hope this helps.

I have already set my timezone, but it makes you think that vBulliten would have done this already. I mean phpBB does this! BTW, I think phpBB3 is a better fourm software. But that's just my opinion...

Well, stop ranting here and go rant in the vBulletin forums since we can't do anything about it, and it's not really our problem ;)
It's like complaining about the rain, we can't really stop the rain, but we still complain about it.

Just to clarify, only non registered visitors get the GMT time. If you're registered obviously you can personalize the timezone. I don't see that as much of an issue- another motivation for visitors to register then.

I know:

I am just saying that from my opinion, all times by default should be where the user currently is.

I check my postings all the time, on my phone, on vacation, at home (duh), etc. and I hate logging in(especially on my phone) just so I can see that the post was made 2 days ago and not yesterday.
