Arrangable content help

I am looking for something that will allow a user to arrange their "friends" I know that the site myspace has a feature like that. I have no writing experience with Ajax but I can edit it. I also need so that the script will work with PHP and MySQL.
I did some looking around on dynamic drive and I am having trouble with saving the newly arranged content by the user...
I'm looking for either a full script, or a really good example I can edit...

I'm not sure what it is that you need here. What, exactly, do you mean by "arrange"? Is there a listing of "friends" that need to go in a certain order?

For starters, you should take a look at the new UI branch of jQuery. This "demo (http://ui.jquery.com/functional_demos/#ui.sortable)" might be of some use to you.

And here (http://jetlogs.org/2007/11/11/auto-saving-with-jquery/) is an article about "auto-saving" in jQuery with Ajax. Again, I'm not quite sure what you're looking for, so this may not be what you're looking for but it sounds to me like it is based on my interpretation of what you posted.

The first one is what I was looking for but depending on if the script can transfer the new order to php so it can save in a MySQL database is the second part. It looks like it can do that though. Thanks!
