View Full Version : DHTML Modal Window - Loading a non-form page

1) Script Title:
DHTML Modal window v1.1
2) Script URL (on DD):
3) Describe problem: I'd like to use the modal window widget simply to open another page on my server. If I try removing the code related to submitting an email address to subscribe to the newsletter, the link doesn't work. If I leave it, the window opens and works great, but then I can't close the window. If someone could give me a simple code for opening the window, like Example 2, without requiring filling in a form, I'd appreciate it.

I'm completely new to this so go easy on me, please. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to implement a form inside the page contained in a DHTML Modal window to be able to dismiss it, as clicking on the "x" button of the window's interface will always close it. With that said, you can simply open a regular page using Modal Window, dismissable by the user clicking on the "x" button:

var mymodal=dhtmlmodal.open("modalbox", "iframe", "mypage.htm", "Title of Page here", "width=590px,height=450px,center=1,resize=1,scrolling=0", "recal")
