Textual Tooltip II: Leaving txt ghost on my background

Text in my "fade1" div (the div that appears/disappears based on the script) burns a ghost of itself into the background image of the parent div.

I am a bit of a noob with javascripting... Can anyone help?

Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out. Also, what browser does the problem occur in?

I'd like to do two things:


1. Lighten/fade atlas onmouseover of a few of the links on the page and present information juxtaposed over the map.


2. Brighten, bold, or highlight particular countries onmouseover.


I tried using this script for the first part, but have been flummoxed.

I am using Firefox; I haven't checked Safari, and don't have Explorer.
The exact browser I'm using is: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14
