I didn't look at the site because I don't want to explain what I'm looking to my business partners, but...

Depending on the site of the site, it might not be using any system/script at all. It could be a custom solution. Social Networking is a huge enterprise. There are no decent social network "scripts" freely available on the Net. In fact that entire paradigm is wrong. It's not a social network "scripts" or even set of scripts, but rather an entire system of management (on an administrative and user level), fine grained user permissions, communication, publication, etc...

You need a pretty powerful and full-featured Content Management System to even begin thinking about something like a social networking site.
