Java Problems

I am trying to open a modal box to display some photos from a DB using java. I have a flash banner set to wmode transparent and it seems to be interfering with the java. The modal box becomes slow and the images load slow. At time the modal box becomes unresponsive. Any Ideas on what could be causing this problem? When I pull the flash banner it works perfectly

Java is not JavaScript! Please clarify which one you're talking about, and also, more details on the Java/JavaScript itself you're using (ie: URL to it).
