When the favicon appears?

Hi,
I had create a favicon and i know that is not immeadiatly its appearence in the IE.But may you tell me how many days must wait? Have i to put the tag LINK in the several html pages of my site or only in the first?

It usually appears within 72 hours in IE, but that's not a set time. It depends on your cache settings.

It's a good idea to put the favicon on all your pages. Most browsers intelligently cache favicos, but it's still good to explicitly declare it on all pages.

favicon.ico needs only to be placed in your site root. it should show up immediately, if you don't see it delete your browser cache.

Extra meta tags are not necessary.
