Hello guys

I'm looking at updating a fairly standard looking three column website - the left column containing the nav menu, the right column php forms to collect user info and a centre column containing the bluk of the display content.

With this centre column I know from limited past experience I've had some difficulty getting text and images to flow correctly for all browsers and monitor sizes. I'm wondering if I could get around flaw in my coding by designing this text/images content in Photoshop, saving it as a gif and sticking that gif in the centre column of the website.

Obviously making changes in the future will be a bit of a drag because it would mean changing in photoshop rather than directly changing the HTML but besides that is there any conceivable problems?

Thanks H

that would be a very bad idea. Search engines cannot decipher images, so your page will not gain any search engine hits

I suspected there might be a catch...
