Featured Content Slider and limiting cycles

I would like to impliment the featured content slider but limit the number of cycles that it runs through, similar to the Featured Content Glider (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/featuredcontentglider.htm).

[side note - I cannot use the glider, as I am using a script that uses the mootools framework on the same page and it conflicts with jQuery]

I'll have to add in such a feature the next time Featured Content Slider is updated. Right now the set up makes it cumbersome to do this. I have plans to basically bring all the features of Featured Content Glider to it and using jQuery as well.
