1) CODE TITLE: animator

2) AUTHOR NAME/NOTES: The script is a part of a project at a German school with contributions by some students and their teacher. It is supposed to add effects to a self-made greeting card service to be offered on the school's website which is the final goal of this project.

3) DESCRIPTION: "animator.js" is an unobtrusive JavaScript that detects certain class values in an HTML document and which will convert suitable elements into animated text. It also provides certain document-wide animations/effects.
This script is still work in progress and is updated/changed weekly. Final version (if there ever will be one) will get posted here together with a downloadable ZIP file for image contents.

4) URL TO CODE: http://grusskarten.peutinger-gymnasium.de/js/animator.js

4b) URL TO DEMO: http://grusskarten.peutinger-gymnasium.de/alle_animationen.html
This page is overloaded on purpose because the page is supposed to test whether all effects can be combined or not and how much they bring down a browser's rendering performance.

Any criticism is welcome (especially the constructive kind) ...

Felix Riesterer.
