Rendering Problems

I am new kinda to this too. I have been doing this for about 4 years but I haven't taken a class to actually teach me every little thing that I should know. I have the main ideas but there is still some things that I can't get and just plain don't understand. I have put a image ready file into the coding of a website and when I refresh the page it will not open. I have done this in both IE and firefox. neither show the file. I was told to make the animation in flash so I am going to be doing that. will it work if made in a different program. like flash or is there something that I do not know about. HELP ME!!!!:confused::confused:

How are you adding the image to the page?

You should be using something like this:


<img src="file.jpg" alt="description">

A flash file (.swf) will work too, again with proper embedding.
