1) CODE TITLE: Simple HTML-menu include (client side)

2) AUTHOR NAME/NOTES: Arie Molendijk

3) DESCRIPTION: If you have a HTML-document (like a list-menu) as a navigation tool on your site, you can't use something like <script type="text/javascript" src="menu.js"></script> as a client-side menu include (unless you rewrite your whole menu as a js-file, which might get complicated).
But there is an easy technique that can do the HTML-include (client-side) for you.

I cannot seem to get this to work with one of the other menus (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/jquery_multi_level_css_menu_2/).
Can anyone assist. This is what I have so far (I know its incomplete, a table tennis store I am putting up).

It is displaying in IE7 perfectly. In Firefox 3 it will not display the submenus or arrow gifs. Not sure why this isnt working. I really don't want to have to put the menu code on every page as that will be a nightmare if I have to edit.

I am attaching the code as a zip.

I'm not sure why it is not working in browsers othe than IE7. Anyhow, the menu you want works here (http://molendijk.110mb.com/include_menu8/smooth/page1.html). I posted the thread here (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40694).

Thanks, I will give it a try. It looks like it is getting increasingly complex. Nevertheless, I'll see what I can do.
