help with like query

hi, i want to select all the words from a table which begin and end witht he same alphabet
eg: i want all words starting with s and ending with a.
like samantha,sara,shilpa, etc.
can someone pls help me with the query.

Try this one

SELECT words FROM wordstable WHERE words LIKE 's%a';

Note that the table and field name is just for an example.
