Anyone know how to get rid of the space and how to get rid of the "v"??

Here's the link to the website : http://home.euphonynet.be/euphoria/Newsletter/mysite2/index.htm

The "v" is intentional actually in browsers that support it (Firefox included). It's used to indicate that a menu item contains a drop down. You can remove/edit it in the .css file:

.chromestyle ul li a[rel]:after{ /*HTML to indicate drop down link*/
content: " v";
/*content: " " url(downimage.gif); /*uncomment this line to use an image instead*/
}

Thank you, that worked like a charm, any idea about the height tho?

I'm using FF2.x, and don't see the extra line at the very top. In any event, you may wish to add a valid doctype (http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/doctype.shtml) to cover some other potential subtle CSS rendering issues, in IE though.
