Php code to change page titles

Hi, I am in need of some help from someone who knows php, I have a little problem with a website of mine that has static css, pages with dynamic php in the center, this is normally not a problem, but with the "php news" script I am using, it automatically generates new pages when you get past the set number of news items per page or if someone adds a comment to a news item, that in itself is not the problem, the problem is that because the page template itself is static, every page that is created from the php news then has the same title, now obviously this is not good from an seo perspective. So what I need is a snippet of php code that dynamically changes each page title of the pages that are generated by php news, perferrably to one of the news posts titles. I know this can be done, but unfortunately I myself cannot figure out how to do it, so if someone would please help me with this I would be in their debt.:)
