... And why does my favicon not show up on the message althoughh it shows up on my profile page?

Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you mean avatar (small image next to your username in a post) as opposed to a favicon (tiny image in the URL bar left of the http:// )

What is in your profile is a profile picture, which is allowed to have by any registered member. An avatar, which shows up in the posts and can be different from the profile pic, is only allowed for members with 150 posts or more.

Once you reach the magic number of posts the option to load your avatar will appear. :)

Actually, I believe it is 350 posts or more ever since the user title update.

Probably 350 since I do not see that option anywhere in my control panel and I have 162 posts to my name as of today.

EDIT: Then again Jack with 250 votes has an avatar. Maybe the change was made after he got an avatar. Not that it really matters that much ;) Here is the link: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28154
