Glossy Horizontal Menu Display in IE

Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I'm a CSS newb, and this is my first post.

I really like the Glossy Horizontal menu found here:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/glossy_horizontal_menu/

I obtained this menu, and within Firefox the menu looks excellent. However, within IE, the top seems to be "cut off" at the left (to the left of where it says "Home").

Don't know if this is a common issue; but I cannot find anything to stretch that top-left part. If further explanation is needed, please let me know :)

I'm using IE 7.

Does your page contain a valid doctype (http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/doctype.shtml) at the very top? Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.

Hey the doctype seems to have fixed my issue... to think it was so simple!
