upload img without reloading the page..

Can anyone help me to upload an image without reloading the page in php or can anyone give me any link which can help to do this thing....

I have tried it with ajax by submitting a form but the problem is the file attribute didnt have any value after submitting the page...

You could submit it to a hidden iframe.

how would the user know that the upload was successful?
