i have a  .
Is Tomcat only for WbbApp that was written with java ?
Where else does someone need Tomcat ?
The Java specification contains a definition of a "servlet," an application that is used to define server behaviours such as Web applications. Tomcat is a servlet container: it's a small HTTP server that passes input from HTTP requests to a servlet and renders the output into an HTTP response, according to the servlet specification. Without Tomcat or an equivalent application, servlets and all the technologies based on servlets, such as Java Server Pages, are useless.
Moved to the Java forum.

can someone use Tomcat for other App that dosn't written in JAVA ?
Yes; any language that compiles down to Java bytecode can be used to create a conforming servlet. This includes a variety of languages such as Java, Jython, JRuby, Java Tcl, BeanShell, and Scala. There are even C compilers that target the Java virtual machine.
