View Full Version : Protect files with .htaccess
So I hear that you can use .htaccess to protect files on your server so that only members can view them. Is that remotely true? If so, how? If not, is there another way?
Thanks!
Yes.

Yes, .htaccess can be used to password protect file. However, if you want a members area with more than a couple people, you will probably want some type of script to update the files for you when members are added. This could be done in pretty much any server side language.
