Pausing up-down Scroller

3) Describe problem: I am copying and pasting the script as instructed to my webpage. I can see all working, except that:
1) it is not showing background color, and
2) the scrolle is showing 2 messages and halting instead of one.

I am using FP2003 and putting the step 2 code in a table on my page.

Can any one help.
