I am trying to find out how to make an alert like pop up. I really liked this version

I am making a wow guild website. I was wanting to were you clicked on a link to display a pop up message. Like they would click on guild message and pop up would come out
I hope I make sense, is there a code for that? I'd still like to use the one that I linked just only come out when they click on a link
