It's not 150 posts. I can testify to that.

Another member, Rockonmetal, says he still hasn't gotten his avatar despite having 394 posts (as of this post). He claims he cannot post in the Coding Tutorials thread either.

I've pm'ed ddadmin, questioning the answer without result.

Based on this info, I think avatars are wholly disabled to any member who joined after a certain date. I think this should be remedied, and if it is, there should be a definite answer in the FAQ.

That's just a profile picture and not an avatar. You are supposed to be able to upload an avatar after 350 posts, but there is something wrong with the way ddadmin set up the user titles/permissions. Last I heard he was working on trying to resolve this, but no idea if it has been done.

According to the announcement made by DDAdmin you should have 100+ posts and your user registration should be 30+ days old for enabling the Avatar.
