need expiring text script

I want a script to automatically delete events after they take place. I found one but it only works in IE.

1) lose the @hotmail.com in yoru name, or email harvesters will go crazy and you will be getting a huge amount of spam

2) can you give us a link to the code / post the code using

tags and we can customize it for all browsers not just IE
