1) Script Title: gAjax RSS Pausing Scroller

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex18/gajaxpausescroller.htm

3) Describe problem:

Hi all!

I've integrated this script on my site , and pointing the feeds to files that are hosted locally. Trouble is, as this functionality is hosted remotely, the feeds are not refreshing when I change the script. In fact, they are still displaying information that was changed weeks ago!

Can anyone please tell me if this script can be changed to local hosting? Or if there is a similar way to fix this problem?

Many thanks in advance, always appreciate help and feedback.

Mrs Spence

GAjax scroller relies on Google Feed API to fetch the feeds. The documention for Google Feed says:

Feed Crawl Frequency

As the Google AJAX Feed API uses Feedfetcher, feed data from the AJAX Feed API may not always be up to date. The Google feed crawler ("Feedfetcher") retrieves feeds from most sites less than once every hour. Some frequently updated sites may be refreshed more often.

So you can probably expect some 1-2 hour delay between refreshing, but certainly not weeks. Is your site crawled/ listed on Google in general?
