Am using the PHP Photo Album script from DD, which is great, but I was wondering if anyone had added any functionality for there to be a photo description either on the main thumbs gallery page or in the indiv popups?

A logical way to do this would be to change the actual name of the photo to the description you want to show beneath the photo instead of the default 'photo 1 2 3' that you can toggle, and change the coding to reflect the photo 'name' (description) beneath the image.

Any thoughts on this, or if it could be easily done?

Change this line:


tempcontainer+=(descriptionprefix[0]==1)? descriptionprefix[1]+(i+1) : ""

to:


tempcontainer+=galleryarray[i][0].replace(/\.[^\.]*$/,'');

You might want to try doing a search on the forums for this- I believe there have been a few stabs at this before. Officially this script doesn't support such a feature yet, though I'm aware it's a popular request, and probably will be added in the next time the script is updated.

Perfect, worked great! Just need to try and play around with formatting so text will center, but this rocks!

This worked great, but is there any way to have the photo description/title show under the larger photo that is clicked and linked to in its own seperate window, instead of under the gallery main page?
