Stylesheet switcher w/Slashdot Menu

3) Describe problem:

I have gotten the SD menu to work beautifully (thank you DimX!), and would like to permit users to select their menu style by selecting stylesheets from a dropdown.

The default CSS file is sdmenu.css, and I have created a few variants I want to make available.

I have attempted two methods:

and (of course)

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/stylesheetswitcher.htm

It seems there may be a Javascript conflict somewhere but I can't pinpoint it precisely.

My stylesheets are vertainly valid as everything display properly, however switching does not seem possible.

Is this an impossible feat?

I cannot speak for the 'A List Apart' script, but the two Dynamic Drive scripts do not appear to have any intrinsic conflicts between them. It probably has to do with how you are using them, but it could be something else. To be able to help you, we would need a link to the page that uses these two Dynamic Drive scripts:
