Images breaking my DHTML menu

On the "Video Techniques" menu on the left, all the "Jiu Jitsu Techniques" have a DHTML menu. The image of the red square with the white arrow in the menu items seems to be making it impossible to get to the menu without moving the mouse as fast as you can to it. I can go from the link to the menu just fine until I pass the square and then the menu disappears.

Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

I just don't get it. There weren't even any menus. At least that I saw.

I don't know. On the ones with no images there seems to be like one pixel in between the part that pops up and the place you rollover. On the images I have no clue.

Anybody know any other good DHTML forums I can ask on? I gotta get this figured out (without using someone elses menu code).
