Will Photoshop run properly if your system is running Linux? I've gone to Adobe.com but it doesn't mention Linux.

As lainlives said. Photoshop 7 and 8 work acceptably well under wine, but the GIMP can replace Photoshop for almost any use, especially in conjunction with Inkscape.

Alright, well I suppose I will use the Gimp and Inkscape because I have a copy of CS2 and I'm not fond of paying to buy Photoshop 8 and on top of that I would be going backward in versions.

I found a program called CrossOver Office (http://www.codeweavers.com/store/ads/photoshop/) and it is supposed to run Adobe Photoshop for Windows on a Linux environment.

Not sure if that's the perfect solution though.

Yea because crossover costs money.

So does Photoshop. If you want free, you've got the answer... GIMP.

If you don't want to pay for Photoshop then software to make it run:
1. Use a system that it, surprise, is actually compatible with;
2. Decide if it's worth paying, or.... use GIMP.

It's not very complex.

I like Photoshop more. But if you want it, and you can't run it, and you could pay to run it, seems like you should make a decision, whichever way seems more important to you.

The other option would be to research another virtual windows option, if there is one. I have no idea.

1. Use a system that it, surprise, is actually compatible with;That's still paying for software to make it run. Crossover Office is probably less expensive than a copy of Windows.

I would assume you'd need a valid copy of XP for it to run anyway.
