1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-in slideshow (v1.5)

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem: Since this script has been tested across various browsers, I'd like to keep to this. How do I go about adding an alt and title tag to the images in this script?

I know there has been recommendations to use the Swiss Army Slideshow version. The code has alt and title tags included, but I'm not sure if the entire script has been tested across browsers.

How do I go about defining the alt or title attributes in the Ultimate Fade-in Slideshow script? I am also concerned because of accessibility issues I'd like to address (ie. when using a screen reader for the blind). The title tag would be very handy.

Thanks.

Thanks John.
I tried to adopt some features from the Swiss Army code but got stuck as I needed a few features to work together.

They are:
1. Images need to be clickable to open up another webpage within the same browser.
2. Image to fade in with other images
3. Need an alt tag or title for each image.

I can see very similar example from Slide 4 at this other site of yours. http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/side/files/interactive_slide_oo_opcity_hvr.htm

Is there a way to add an Alt tag to each image?
slides4.use_alt=1; //use for descriptions as images alt attributes
slides4.use_title=1; //use for descriptions as images title attributes

If yes, where in the following code should I add the alt and title description?
var slides4=[];
slides4[0] =
['http://www.loisimages.com/white_car6_400_tbn_optimized.jpg', '', 'http://www.loisimages.com/white_car6_400_optimized.jpg'];

Thanks.
Evelyn

If you use:

slides4.use_alt=1; //use for descriptions as images alt attributes
slides4.use_title=1; //use for descriptions as images title attributes

You need to provide the description as the second item in each array entry, ex:

slides4[0] = ['http://www.loisimages.com/white_car6_400_tbn_optimized.jpg', 'The description which will be used as title and alt', 'http://www.loisimages.com/white_car6_400_optimized.jpg'];
