On the CSS Fixed Layout #3.2- (Fixed-Fixed-Fixed) found in the CSS Library.

Why can I not edit the left (green) and right (yellow) columns from Dreamweaver's design view? However I can edit the Content colum in Design view? Obviously in code view I can edit.
This is my first attempt at building a table-less website, but whats the point if I can't use Dreamweaver 8 to it's fullest.
