Hi there again...

Here are two excellent scripts :-

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/preloadimage2.htm

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/wipedemo.htm

Not being well trained in deeper Javascript the question is this :-

How to COMBINE both scripts in an Index page and then redirect the visitor when the entire Image Array has loaded in the background?

Timing the wipes is easy to conclude when the array has loaded (roughly close in the time line)..

BUT, how to make the dynamic progress bar run side by side with the wipes in a different page position??

Then, redirect when the PRELOADING is finished, not when the wipes process is concluded.

Also, it seems that Mozilla does NOT start the wipes until the preloading is done <???> IN FIREFOX, but NETSCAPE seems to be okay <??>

How to ensure that the wipes begins at page load, and the images preload in the backgrund during the wipes process <?????>

Once again, the script author is unavailable for comment.

Thanks and Blessings..

Elijah

Also, have this excellent and simple script to open a centred expanded window....

Here :-

function expand() {
for(x = 0; x < 50; x++) {
window.moveTo(screen.availWidth * -(x - 50) / 100, screen.availHeight * -(x - 50) / 100);
window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth * x / 50, screen.availHeight * x / 50);
}
window.moveTo(0,0);
window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight);
}

BUT - here's the puzzle - how to maintain the function visually exactly the same, AND open the new page without the toolbar????

We keep location, status bar, etc, just need to show a larger view onscreen for 800 X 600 resolution monitors by removing the toolbar.

Tried all variants and cannot maintain the great expanding centre effect with a window.open() function that specifies the props.....

Hope someone skilled reads this and understands the conflicts to be resolved.

PS : Might be able to solve the first issue using a small frame that matches the background - but would prefer not to use a frame on the Index opener.

Thanks very much to anyone who can help...

Blessings...
