'Realy Simple' - Not so sure

Hi guys,

I have installed the Pausing RSS Scroller on my pages. It reads family news off my own XML file. It works just great.

I would like to do the following:

Users clicking on an item in the scroller should be taken to a page showing the relevant item details as well as an opportunity to add new items, comment on existing items etc. (much like a blog). Is this possible or should I be thinking in terms of a fully blown blog?

Any ideas will be appreciated.
