10 Latest Threads Scroller for PHP forums...

I got a scroller that i just have to put my .htm file into for that to show up, like news, but i have to have it automatically update for the newest made threads in that forum. This way when users pos on my forums it will come up on the main page saying that they made that post and you can see the top ten latest threads made their without leaving the main forum page. i'm not sure how to do this, i'm kinda amateur :) but i'm coming along... if you could help me that'd be great, thanks

What forum software do you use. Many forum software packages have mods that you can download and install to work with the said forum. You may want to look around their support website for this; however, depending on how complex the database for the forum is, you could probably make a php script to look through the database for new threads (entries).

Sort of... i'm on forumer.com... pretty basic and i asked over their and they don't know what to do...

You won't be able to create something like this unless you have access to the database (or at least to the files of the forum software so that you could add mods to it). Other than that, not sure what to tell you.

Unless you split the forum page itself up into an array and use the pieces in the ticker....

Orrrr, not. That's a lot of work for a ticker. Haha.
