What's really intriguing, to me, about this is that we functioned perfectly fine before the internet. Sure, a lot of things were harder and more complex - communication, for example - but because we didn't know of something greater, we didn't miss that something; the internet.

It makes me wonder what's greater than the internet...how will that reality show, Civilization, become more and more advanced? We have no idea until it, in fact, becomes more advanced!

Now, of course if the internet suddenly disappeared, we would probably not survive right?! Haha. I mean, there would probably be mass suicide and widespread depression...

And how would we get anywhere without MapQuest? How would we find singles in our area?! How would we find recipes? How would we find answers to our PHP questions...

Wait...

We wouldn't have PHP questions. Excuse me.

Heh :) I suspect that, unless the fuel crisis hits earlier than expected, when the Internet disappears it'll be because it's been replaced by something better -- a world-wide neural link, perhaps.

Haha, now if the fuel crisis does hit earlier than expected...

I wonder... did that kind of error page even exist back then?!
