View Full Version : Animated Collapsible DIV

Has anyone had any experience with ďAnimated Collapsible DIVĒ (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/animatedcollapse.htm)?
I certainly donít profess to be an expert, so I know itís something daft Iíve done (or havenít done), but Iíve got a problem . . . got it all working perfectly in Mozilla Firefox. But, Internet Explorer has other ideas. Might be best to show you, rather than trying to describe it Ė but, please excuse me for using such a poor, advert-intrusive server: http://whitetara.0catch.com/mariasweb/index.html.

Briefly, a question about ďBoxing In ScriptĒ (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/document7.htm), if youíll indulge me. As youíll see, Iíve also used this. I was just wondering if, instead of a solid colour, could a picture be used? Or, is there something similar that could use a picture as an intro, which fades out/dissolves/etc??

Both of those links are broken.

Animated Collapsable DIV is here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/animatedcollapse.htm

Boxing in script is here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/document7.htm

As for the technical problem, I'm sorry, but I can't properly understand the question, could you clarify a bit and be more specific?

Sorry Ė donít know what happened there. Must have been a bad-link day.

OK, Iíve used Boxing In Script and Collapsible Animated DIVs, each, individually, without a problem.

However, using them both together does cause a problem for me, but only in Internet Explorer.

Not being the most articulate person in the world, I found it easier to post a link of an example to demonstrate. If you go to http://whitetara.0catch.com/mariasweb/index.html in both Mozilla Firefox and in IE, and compare the difference when using the Collapsible Animated DIV; in IE, the Animated DIV simply does not go away like it should.

You need to include a valid doctype at the top of your page.

FF does not need the doctype to interperit the code properly but IE does.
